About the group

A school that grew into a group, without leaving Janakpurdham

Monastic opened in 1986 with one school/college and one promise: quality education for quality life. Forty years on, six institutions carry the same crest — and the same standard.

01 — Our story

Built slowly, on results

The journey began in Matihani, Mahottari, Nepal around 1983. Monastic was founded by Dr. Mithilesh Kumar Sah with a vision to bring quality education to the community. In 1986 the school was reestablished in Janakpur, in a rented building with just five students.

Every stage since was added only when the teaching was ready for it. That is why the group still runs on one school/college system, under one academic standard.

Mrs. Veena Devi

Founder — Monastic School / College

"It is with great joy and a warm heart that I welcome you to the Monastic family."

Our journey began in Matihani, Mahottari, Nepal around 1983. Monastic was founded by my late husband, Dr. Mithilesh Kumar Sah, with a vision to bring quality education to our community. In 1986, we reestablished the school in Janakpur, in a rented building with just five students. Since then, it has been a journey of dedication, hard work, and strong belief in the power of education.

As a mother, an educator, and the founder, I truly understand what parents seek in a school. We are committed to giving every child the care, support, and opportunities they need to shine.
