Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how Monastic School / Monastic College of Management & Technology (“Monastic”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you visit monastic.edu.np or interact with our admissions, contact, and newsletter forms.

Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, and phone number when you submit a contact or admissions inquiry form, register for updates, or subscribe to our newsletter. If you leave a comment on the site, we collect the data shown in the comment form, plus your IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection.
We also automatically collect certain technical information, including your IP address, browser type, and pages visited, through Google Analytics (via Google Site Kit) to help us understand how visitors use our site.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Newsletter and mailing list
If you subscribe to our newsletter, your email address is stored and processed through Mailchimp so that we can send you updates about admissions, events, and school news. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link included in every email.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies for your convenience. These cookies last for one year.

For users who register on our website, we store the personal information in their user profile, which they can see, edit, or delete at any time (except their username). Contact and admissions form submissions are retained as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and for our administrative records.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, or request that we erase any personal data we hold about you, except data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. We use industry-standard measures, including a web application firewall and malware scanning (Wordfence), to help protect the information we hold from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
